Experience: Typically has thirteen (13) years of professional experience including at least five (5) years as a specialist with full responsibility for major technical work in his field. Incumbent is recognized both by management and colleagues as an expert. Incumbent will have achieved substantial industry recognition in incumbent s area of expertise. Normally will have published in significant technical journals and will have a history of active participation in technical society activities.
The Analytical Services Division is committed to providing state of the art analytical support to diverse research projects within Saudi Aramco s Research and Development Centre as well as technical support to wider company operations. Therefore, we seek an experienced vibrational spectroscopist to promote FTIR (Mid IR, NIR) and Raman analytical techniques in this endeavor. Experience with Thermal Analysis (TGA, DSC) techniques and hyphenated thermal techniques would be considered advantageous. Previous experience within a petroleum industrial environment would be beneficial but not essential. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team of mainly postgraduate scientists in a modern, well-equipped laboratory. He must be a hands-on analytical scientist who can interact well in a team environment.
